Autumn Style

Winter is around the corner and we are ready! Well at least that’s what I like to think, knowing fully well nothing ever prepares you when winter finally arrives

I am focusing on my favourite pair of over the knee boots and an autumn style you can recreate.

Top Tip

Wearing only two colours at anyone time, is one of the top rules on creating an instantly chic  fashionable look.

The olive green skirt is from Asos and the ribbed long sleeve slashed bodysuit from Missguided. Bucket bag is an old favourite from Zara.

Make it your own

For a more polished look, style with a black fitted blazer, patent black stilettos and tights.

Fashion for me must always contain a mix of individualism, character and an element of fun... My blog is the platform at which I can engage in two of my favorite things I.e. writing and fashion

    Hi Barbara,

I hope you’re well. I’m emailing from Laurence King Publishing – we’re an art and design publisher based in London. I came across your Instagram feed and thought you’d be a good fit for an upcoming blogger collaboration. We’re running an Instagram competition on the 30th around the release of our new book All About Yves: the definitive, multi-format book on Yves Saint Laurent’s life and work. I’ve attached a press release for more info about the book.

We’re looking for London-based fashion bloggers who would like to enter the competition as ‘All About Yves’ ambassadors. We’re sending personal invites to enter to selected bloggers who we feel will be able to set an example and accurately the spirit of Yves Saint Laurent in their post. In return, we’ll send these selected bloggers a 70% off voucher towards any other book, fashion-related or otherwise, in our collection. Of course there’s also the chance of winning the trip to Paris with the photo you post! I’ve outlined the competition for you below.

    The competition

We’re offering participants a chance to win a free trip for two to Paris from London. Staying for two nights in the Junior Suite of the palatial Shangri-La Hotel Paris, they’ll receive free access and a private tour of the newly opened Museé Yves Saint Laurent. Last but not least, they’ll be sent their very own copy of the stunning hardback All About Yves.

To enter, participants must do the following:

Post a photo on your Instagram or Twitter feed featuring the fashion and travel essentials you would pack for a luxurious weekend away exploring Yves Saint Laurent’s Paris. Style your flat-lay to embody your interpretation of YSL’s Paris. The more creative the better!
Tag the photo @eurostar @hotelsdotcom and @laurencekingpub. Include the hashtag #AllAboutYves.
The competition is open from October 30th 2017, ending at midnight on Sunday November 12th.
Winners will be announced before the end of November.

I’ve attached an example of the type of photo we are looking for. You can find more information about traveling, the hotel stay and the competition T&Cs at the competition page here.

In addition to submitting your YSL-inspired flat-lay on social media, if you wanted to include a perk for your followers we can certainly arrange this too – giving you a personal discount to share with them that will give them 20% off All About Yves on our site.

Let me know what you think and of any questions you might have. Would be great to have you on board, we’d love to see your take.

    All my best,

    Jantien

      Hi Jantien,

I am so sorry, just picked up your comment. It must have been flagged as spam. I do have an email link on my Instagram I would have certainly picked up your email sooner. Is it still possible to participate?

      Best regards
      Barbara
