Denim Skirt X Off Shoulder Top Pairing

I am a sucker for a good classic however with all good classics, there is room to put a modern spin on it. And the same can be said for how I styled this look

In 1960s, hippies first came up with the idea of recycling old denim jeans into long denim skirts, by opening the inseams and inserting pieces of triangular denim.

Brief history
Denim skirts were first introduced in mainstream fashion lines in the 1970s. In 1983, denim miniskirts—with a pencil skirt silhouette—became a popular teenage fashion. They were initially in darker blues, eventually then eventually came in an array of colours such as pinstripes and acid wash. The trend faded in the late 1980s when knit miniskirts were dominant.

Fast forward to 2017, denim mini skirts now come adorned with beautiful embroidered floral patterns. This has taken the humble denim skirt and elevated to the ultimate summer wardrobe staple.

Perfect for?

This look would be perfect for a stroll down a vegetable market in Spain whilst pretending to be one of the most fashionable locals around.

Fashion for me must always contain a mix of individualism, character and an element of fun... My blog is the platform at which I can engage in two of my favorite things I.e. writing and fashion
