If The Hat Fits
You know what they say, “If the cap fits, wear it” My saying goes thus, “If you find a hat that you slay so hard in, never stop wearing it” I have a profound love for hats and undoubtedly a boaters hat, is my favourite.
Boater hats were originally designed to be worn by men it became popular as a formal summer hat in the latter part of the 19th century. It ended up being widely adopted as a semi-formal hat with school uniforms and also as an unofficial part of the FBI’s uniform in the pre-war years.
I found this hat on EBay, after loosing my favourite one in the Mediterranean Sea last summer. Click here to read the blog post on how this happened.
Least to say, whilst not being a fan of an ‘over accesssorised’ look, wearing scarves and hats allows me to up my style game a notch.
Pairing my favourite floral shorts from Primark with an off shoulder exaggerated top from SheIn, a neck scarf from a Marie Clair campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer awareness month and finished off with my favourite hand painted wedges from Jeffrey Campbell
Where would I wear this to?
This look is perfect for a hot summer day at a country side estate, which has a lavish garden. A delicious spread of extravagant picnic food would be washed down with litres of of G&T’s eventually we will end the day with a competitive round of croquets.
