What to wear to a picnic

Picnics are the perfect social setting to unleash your inner lady, it also presents a great opportunity to brandish that full pleated skirt/dress that has been hung up in your wardrobe and not seen any summer love.
Listed below is my 7 rules on picnicking
Rule 1: If you must wear heels, I will recommend either a pair of wedges or a pair of shoes with a block heel, not only are they more practical for maneuvering the grass, one doesn’t want to look clunky whilst walking as your heels seemingly digs into the earth.
Sidenote: something about my vintage Cacharel Paris dress that made me want to eternally twirl!
Rule 2: I will advice working with pieces that are comfortable for sitting on a blanket, midi length dresses always a safe option, floaty pieces as opposed to bodycon for extra comfort and instant chic. The backless detail on the back of the dress, provided that extra bit of sexiness without displaying too much. Remember always keep it classy.
Rule 3: Personality+Fashion= Effortless slayage… My African head scarf allowed me to inject a bit of my personality into what could have otherwise been a rather plain outfit.
Rule 4: Sunnies are an essential. For the simple reason, the less you squint the less you are likely going to spend on botox in the future.
Rule 5: Accessories like it is going out of fashion…A stack of midi rings to keep the look fun, young and playful. Bear in mind this is not practical if you are going to be playing frisbee: but who cares, all that matters is how good you look.
Rule 6: It’s acceptable to replace any post picnic games with your slay game. Remember life is all about improvising.
Rule 7: Remember the idea is to have fun. So please pack your smile 🙂
