Back to school
The story of the hat; I see a blogger who I am in awe of wearing the hat, immediately I fall in love I know I want exactly the same hat. A few days later I visit my gorgeous friend Vivienne (she has featured on one of my previous post) she was showing me her rather impressive hat collection and she has same hat the blogger was wearing. I become more determined to own the hat because it’s simply gorgeous and incredibly understated.
The only dilemma was the shop that had the hat no longer stocked it. So I spend some afternoons looking in various hat shops hoping to find the hat. After months of looking and scouring around I almost gave up. One glorious day I was on my way afternoon appointment which happened to be in an obscure part of South East London. Along the way I walked past a charity shop, with 5minutes to spare before the appointment I thought to take a quick look. In my experience charity shops tend to have some unique one off pieces at great prices. Quick scan of the shop left me feeling a bit disappointed.
I was heading out the door when my eye caught sight of a hat rested on a dress hanger. My heart began racing, there was slightly perspiration in my palm. It was the hat. The exact one I had spent months searching for and it was mine at the price of £2. At that moment I believed in fate 🙂 I remember having a silly grin on my face for the rest of the day and I carried it home with such great care.
For a while I had this outfit in my wardrobe and I instantly knew what I wanted to create a back to school look however it seemed whenever I had a moment to spare and made arrangements with friends to spend the afternoon photographing, the weather always had other plans. The heavens will pour down with what can only be described as triple x terrestrial rain. Yesterday I decided, come rain, sun, hailstone, thunderstorm or hurricane I was going to get the photos taken as I was already behind on my one blog a week target
It rained hard yesterday but it didn’t stop me or
my photographer/sister from having a ton of fun and mucking around. We thoroughly enjoyed our rather wet afternoon. I felt incredibly pleased in what we were able to achieve with armed with an IPhone. In conclusion if you love what you do, not a lot can stop you from doing that which you love. 🙂
