Taking the plunge

This would be my first post and the first steps I am taking towards forging a career in fashion. Where this is headed, I am still figuring out. With One post at a time, I am hoping it becomes clearer as time goes on. Right now I am going to relish the moment and take the plunge so I ask you to seat back, feedback, share and enjoy this journey with me.

The photos below were taken in November 2011. It was captured by an old friend who happened to be a photographer. I remember having a ton of things to do on this day. First was a visit to the hairdresser’s then shopping in the infamous Portobello market with Harld. I was running late for my appointment with my hairdresser and in true fashion, I picked out the first few things I could find in my wardrobe threw them on and et voila I got dressed in what would appear to be reasonably fashionable and extremely comfortable.
There was a few looks from people who didn’t quite understand why I was wearing yellow in November. But I refuse to restrict myself to a certain colour pallet because it’s meant to be grey and horrible outside #rebel least to say, I still have said bright oversized jumper almost 3 years later and everything else but the jeans.
My day turned out to be a ton of fun. I even bagged myself a gorgeous vintage fur coat that still lays dominate in my wardrobe. And year after year it manages to make me look effortlessly stylish.

Fashion for me must always contain a mix of individualism, character and an element of fun... My blog is the platform at which I can engage in two of my favorite things I.e. writing and fashion
